Seven awards worth £1,000 each – Santander Volunteering and Community Engagement Awards 2016
Active Student Volunteering Service is delighted to launch the Santander Volunteering and Community Engagement Awards 2016. Seven awards worth £1,000 each, funded by Santander Universities, to recognise outstanding contributions in the fields of volunteering and community engagement undertaken by current University of Brighton students during the academic year 2015-16.
Nominations are sought from non-profit organisations, charities, CICs or public sector organisations in which University of Brighton students are/have been volunteering or completed a community based placement during this academic year.
This includes:
- Students who have volunteered within the local community
- Students who have volunteered within the University, including Student Union Clubs and Societies
- Students who have undertaken a community-based placement as part of their degree.
Please note: nominations can only be made by the organisation where the student’s volunteering or placement is/was based and students cannot nominate themselves for an award. Before nominating a student, please ensure you have carefully read the full Guidance notes on the website listed below.
Closing date: midnight on Monday 18 April 2016.
