Chat to organisations about their volunteering opportunities
If you’re interested in volunteering with any of these organisations, come chat to them as they’ll be joining my drop-ins:
Macmillan Cancer Support – Brighton Half Marathon Cheerer role, Urology Outreach volunteer role
Macmillan will be joining me next Monday outside Aldrich Library, on the mezzanine floor of Cockcroft from midday to 1.30pm. If you’re interested in volunteering with them for the Brighton Half Marathon (Sunday 28th Feb) or a longer term volunteer role with their Urology Outreach team at Royal Sussex County Hospital, come have a chat with them.
Scouts Association – leader, group leader and assistant leader roles with the Cubs, Beavers or Scouts
The Scouts will be joining me on Monday 15th February in outside Aldrich Library, on the mezzanine floor of Cockcroft, midday to 1.30pm. A new Moulsecoomb group is starting soon so it’s a great time to come chat to them about volunteering with them.
Hove Sea Cadets – Instructor Volunteers
Hove Sea Cadets will be joining me on Monday 22nd February outside Aldrich Library, on the mezzanine floor from 11.30am to 1pm. If you’re interested in outdoors leadership roles, come chat to them.
There’ll be an organisation joining each campus’s drop-in stand so look out for our leaflets and social media all about who you can meet.
If you’re interested in volunteering in the health and social care sector, come along to our Volunteering Fair on Wednesday 24th February, 2.30-4.30pm in Checkland E513. This is a fab opportunity to chat to a number of different organisations about the types of volunteering you could do with them – no booking needed and you don’t need to sign up on the day, it’s just a great chance to speak to organisations such as British Red Cross, Trust for Developing Communities, St Michael’s Hospice and many more!
We now have regular Active Student drop-ins on every campus – check out our Calendar for your nearest one.
