Culture Shift – Arts Connect Volunteer Programme…application deadline extended!

Arts Connect is a programme of activities – in Hastings/Rother, Eastbourne/Hailsham/Seaford and Lewes/Crowborough/the Havens – designed to support adults with learning disabilities to engage in the arts and develop their talent and interests. The programme has been commissioned by East Sussex County Council’s Adult and Social Care team.

Alongside and with support from a lead artist and project coordinator, you will support participants on a 1-1 basis or small group basis.

We welcome anyone with experience or an enthusiasm for working in the arts or in a learning disability setting. All volunteers will need to complete a DBS check as part of the project and be able to travel to each of the course venues. We can cover travel costs at up to £15 per session.

Minimum time commitment is approximately 15 hours, plus training, during the academic year 2015-16.
