Student Media Conference – 25 November 2015
Brighton Students’ Union is hosting an exciting student media conference offering the opportunity to network and get tips from a range of media professionals. It will be a day of inspiring talks, discussion and practical tips on diverse media roles such as blogging, journalism, radio and video production. You’ll hear from a range of speakers who have worked for a range of organisations such as the BBC, Radio Reverb, Sky News, the Huffington Post and local press, and be able to ask questions. The day aims to demystify media production and help inform and motivate students to get involved in the independent media channels at the University of Brighton which are run by students for students. Getting involved with your student media while at university is an excellent way to gain more skills, have fun, and improve your CV!
The conference is being held at Cockcroft Hall, Moulsecoomb, between 10.15 – 4pm. If you are a student based in Eastbourne and Hastings we will reimburse your travel if you use public transport and keep your receipts.
Any student interested in media is welcome to register, no matter what your course and it’s free! Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day – please email studentmedia@brighton.ac.uk with any special dietary requirements. Please RSVP for the event via the official invite here:
