Closing 20 November: Shell Springboard is now open for applications from the UK’s most innovative low-carbon entrepreneurs. Shell is calling on entrepreneurs with bright ideas for reducing carbon emissions to enter the Shell Springboard programme for a chance to receive a no strings attached grant to help scale-up their businesses. http://bit.ly/1LKMUzn

Closing 12 December: The 2015 National Student Awards supports research projects from UK students in higher education that can help to provide solutions to the threats to the marine and coastal environment. Closing 28 January TARGETjobs, in collaboration with some of the biggest names in graduate recruitment including, E.ON, Expedia, Gazprom, Laing ORourke, LOreal MARS, and Rolls Royce has launched the 2016 Undergraduate of the Year Awards competition, now in its seventh year to identify outstanding undergraduates from a range of degree subjects across the UK.
