Workbench
Workbench is an application which is able to join CAD and physics to put designs through various tests to see wether the product is fit for purpose. We then took this software to see wether the rockets we designed would work properly. Doing this would give us a good understanding wether our rockets would work. We were able to also perform stress tests which was a good way to understand how durable the rocket was and how different forces take effect on the design.
This was the process I took to make the rocket and then use mesh tools to put it into a virtual sandbox to simulate the direction of the wind and the rocket.
The process began with making the rocket in the software which we could then test.
We then drew the virtual sandbox around the rocket and aligned the rocket straight with the box so that the results would be correct.
We then filled the box so that we could apply the mesh.
the end goal here is to see the direction of wind flow over the rocket which we have. Success!
