Final year student and STEM ambassador Charlotte Ward presented at a conference for the Institution of Engineering and Technology last Tuesday. The talk discussed ways of inspiring the next generation of engineers and technologists.

Whist there, Charlotte introduced members of the IET to our Product Design course, and the work that we have been doing with STEM and local schools around Sussex.

The reception from members of the IET was extremely positive and Charlotte received some excellent feedback, in relation to the work that is undertaken by our course, and the students outreach work with younger members of the community.
Charlotte is also currently working with STEM and Southern Water on an outreach schools program, and since doing the presentation to the IET, has been invited to be part of the Big Bang event in Crawley this summer as a STEM deliverer.
