‘Just Do It’ is scheduled for Wednesday, 18 November from 6:00pm 8:30pm, in Cockcroft Hall, Moulsecoomb campus and celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week. Three alumni are coming in to share their experiences of their start-up journeys so far. It is a great chance to hear about their mistakes made, lessons learnt, and aspirations. It is free to attend, and as one of our special events of the year, we will be providing locally-sourced cheese, wine, and soft drinks. We can also cover public transport costs for students who live outside Brighton. The placement fair is from 12.00 to 15.00 on Cockroft Hall on 19th November and will include Sainsburys, Cummins, Eschmann, Flowerve, Paxton Access, Vauxhall, Brandwatch and many others. Brighton’s Digital Society is holding a Hackathon event in room C228 on 20th November – 3 hours working teams to develop an idea and a 3 minute pitch for ‘smarter living’. Starts at 10.30 and ends at 16.30 and should be fun.
A number of competitions are now out and worth checking including D & AD, and the Design Innovation in Plastics award.
