Dr. Magaletti is a researcher in the field of computational fluid dynamics of multiphase and interfacial flows. He developed mathematical models based on the Diffuse Interface approach to describe vapor-liquid systems. He also developed computational fluid dynamics codes for HPC (High Parallel Computing). His main research topics include: droplet dynamics, wetting and droplet motion on substrates, vapor bubble dynamics, bubble nucleation, bubble collapse and shockwave formation, shock-bubble interaction, cavitation, freezing.
