BMAT at the University of Brighton (2020-21)

****Due to unprecedented demand, all available external (non University of Brighton) spaces to sit the BMAT at Brighton have been filled.****

****Apologies for any dissapointment caused. Please visit the BMAT website to find your next closest test centre.****

The BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) is an admissions test for applicants to medicine, biomedical sciences and dentistry courses at a number of Universities, including the Sussex and Brighton Medical School (BSMS). If your UCAS application includes a University course that requires the BMAT, you will need to sit the test within the admissions cycle of your application.

You cannot register yourself for the test, but need to be registered as a candidate by your chosen test centre. Since 2017 the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (PaBS) has been an authorised test centre (No. 56125), offering the BMAT to its students who want to continue their studies in medicine – including those who qualify for the BSMS Guaranteed Interview Scheme. In 2018 we become an open test centre for candidates outside of PaBS.

If you would like to be registered as a candidate for the November BMAT at PaBS (test centre No. 56125) you need to complete a registration form and pay test fees – information for both of these can be found on additional pages – see links on the tabs above.

For more information on the BMAT test, please see the Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing BMAT website.

Please note that the BMAT test, whilst still scheduled for 9am November 3rd 2021, will be computer based this year.
