Mycobacterial cording as a biofilm in detergent-free liquid media

New research article published on antimicrobial tolerance

Dr Ian Cooper has published a new article in collaboration with staff at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS). The article, “Three-dimensional low shear culture of Mycobacterium bovis BCG induces biofilm formation and antimicrobial drug tolerance”, published in nature.com presents new research on antimicrobial tolerance in association with biofilm formation by Mycobacterium bovis, in vitro. Transcriptional analysis is presented on the expression of cell surface regulatory factors in relation to macrophage-associated pro-inflammatory response.
