- January 2019 – work begins on new student accommodation and Students’ Union facilities on current Mithras car park site
- May 2019 – new multi-storey car park opens
- June 2019 – work on new academic building starts
- During 2021 – new student accommodation, Students’ Union facilities and academic building open
What facilities will there be in the new SU? 🙂
Hi Isaac – the new Students’ Union building will contain a flexible events space, bar and café area and indoor and outdoor social areas in addition to office space for SU staff. This is in addition to new fitness facilities that will be right next door.

Do you think it’s likely gigs could be held in the events space?
Hi Isaac – that is a possibility although we are conscious that with the new halls of residence being on the same site that there will need to be some limits placed on the type of events that take place.
