Gerard Maye Client Interviewing Competition 2013

Now more than ever, legal students need inter-personal skills as well as knowledge of the law in order to be successful. The University of Brighton’s annual Legal Client Interviewing Competition seeks to address this need by developing the skills necessary for effective interviewing.

The theme for this year’s competition was commercial contracts. The competition was sponsored by Gerard Maye Legal.

Working in pairs, competitors took on the role of solicitors advising their clients. The competing teams were judged by two industry professionals: Defence Solicitor, Gerard Maye and Civil Litigator, John Searby both from Gerard Maye Legal.
