Formerly part of the Brighton Technical College, we have been delivering business and management courses since the 1960s.
Today, as the Business School for the University of Brighton, we teach, research and consult on a range of topics including business, change, entrepreneurship, human resources, marketing and law.
We work closely with professional bodies and organisations to design career-focused courses that allow students the opportunity to practically apply their knowledge, whether studying at an undergraduate, postgraduate or executive level.
We are also proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s top five universities for the impact of our research into business and management, influencing policy and making a difference to society.
Informed by our insightful research, we also provide a range of business services from tailored courses to consultancy – helping organisations develop their people and grow their business.
Giving students real-world business experience
We work closely with local, national and international businesses to develop our courses and to provide our students with work experience placements to improve their employability.
Our teaching approach is vocationally orientated: we cover the theory in depth and then apply it to real-world issues through case studies and employer-based projects.
