Celebrating our class of 2022 graduates
On Tuesday 26 July we celebrated our School of Business and Law class of 2022 graduates. Their graduation ceremony was held at the Brighton Centre, opposite the iconic West Pier on the seafront.
We then welcomed our graduates to continue the celebrations with us at the Old Ship Hotel. Here we held our Awards for Excellence ceremony, where we congratulated students for their individual achievements during their studies at the University of Brighton.
We’d like to wish a huge congratulations to all of our School of Business and Law graduates and our award winners, who’ve excelled during their time with us. Our award winners are as follows:
Lilli Pullan won the Association for Tourism in Higher Education (ATHE) award for the best undergraduate student on our tourism courses.
Kitty Fabry won the Bright Young Things Award for the best performing final year student on our Marketing Management BSc(Hons) course.
Liam Weller and Yvan Anthony jointly won the Brighton & Hove Bus Company award for the most creative business idea on our entrepreneurship elective.
Henry Boys won the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce award for the best contribution to local industry.
Nicola Clements won the Brighton LLB Fortitude award for the student who’s overcome personal adversity to graduate with honours.
Shyann Sheehy won the Brighton LLB Appreciation award for the LLB(Hons) student who has consistently supported others to develop by adding value to the student experience.
Zach Plunkett, El Brambell, Lauren Andrews and Sarah Carolan jointly won the Burt Brill and Cardens award for the final year LLB(Hons) students who perform the best in the Equity and Trusts module.
Liam Weller won the Chartered Institute of Marketing, South East Sussex Branch award for the best marketing planning and strategy student.
Giorgio Caldesi won the Creative Hub award for the best performing student on our Futurism for Marketers module.
Rebecca Robinson and Servet Yilmaz jointly won the Crown Office Row, Brighton award for the final-year family law students who’ve demonstrated strong academic achievement in family law.
Taylor Foster, El Brambell, Emilia Collins, Olivia Rice and Kyanne Richards jointly won the Crown Office Row, Brighton award for the students who’ve made an outstanding contribution to the University of Brighton Legal Clinic.
Navjyot Notay won the Dean of the School award for the best performing final-year Finance and Investment BSc student.
Elizabeth Shelley won the Dean of School award for the best performing final-year Business Management (Top-up) BSc(Hons) student.
Joshua Arcers, Finlay Hastings, Harry Gross, Alan Luu and Meg Harrold jointly won the Enterprise Rent-a-Car award for the best entrepreneurial business plan.
Richard Daniel won the Fitz Digital Ltd award for the best digital marketing student.
Sean Birch won the FreemanBreckon Accountants award for the best finance and risk management student.
Olivia Hyde won the Kalimex award for the best cross-cultural marketing student.
Fred Campbell won the Martin Searle Solicitors award for the best employment law student.
Zoe Cunrow won the Maycock HR Innovation award for the final-year student with the most innovative research assignment on the research elective in human resource management.
Tala-Maria Salti won the MTD Sales Training award for the best performing student on our Marketing Management and Leadership module.
Lauren Turner won the MTD Management Training and Development award for the best performing student on our Managing and Developing module.
Gabby Faulkner won the Natural PR Ltd award for the best PR student on our Public Relations, Principles and Practice module.
Samuel Alexander won the Preston Insurance Brokers award for the best performing final-year Business Management with Finance BSc student.
Viral Kanji won the Skillshub award for the best feedback and development goals report on our Managing and Developing People module.
Sophie Nelan won the Thomson Reuters Law award for the best performance in the final-year legal research project.
Lauren Andrews won the University of Brighton Faith and Spirituality Team award for the final-year LLB(Hons) student who’s demonstrated strong academic achievement on our Justice and Practice module.
Leonie Lukat won the Visit Brighton award for the highest performing event student.
Holly Harris won the Visit Brighton award for the highest performing tourism student.
Our class of 2022 have achieved some remarkable heights, especially given much of their studies have been during a global pandemic. We’re extremely proud of all of our graduates and can’t wait to see what they get up to next.
