Developing leaders and leadership development with the DLCC
The 9th annual Developing Leadership Capacity Conference (DLCC) takes place on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 July 2017.
In keeping with the Business School’s track record of successfully hosting national and international conferences, this year we will be hosting the annual DLCC conference. This well-established conference benefits from a unique focus upon developing leaders and leadership development. One of the conference’s strengths are the interactions between academics and practitioners working in the field of leadership development with such engagement an integral activity within BBS.
In terms of keynote speakers, Professor Keith Grint (Warwick Business School) and Professor Claire Leitch and Dr Valerie Stead (Lancaster Management School) will speak on the latest academic developments in leadership studies. Dr Adrian Kerr (Chief Executive of the Local Government Staff Commission NI) will offer the practitioner keynote talking about the unique leadership and leadership development challenges and opportunities local government in Northern Ireland presents.
During each of the two days, leadership development papers will be presented from both academics and practitioners. The conference dinner will be hosted at one of Brighton’s latest attractions the i360, a wonderful example that everything changes.
