We have postponed the workshops due to COVID-19

 

Staying healthy in Whitehawk

 

  • Do you live in East Brighton?

  • Are you interested in art and creative work?

  • Do you want to get healthier and more active?

We’re looking for adult participants who want to share their story about staying healthy in Whitehawk. You will work with a local artist to create artwork. The artwork will be permanently installed at the Wellsbourne Healthcare CIC.

 

You don’t need to have any specialist knowledge! All welcome!

WHEN & WHERE: TBA

The workshops are free and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, as well as bus fare to get there. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

More about the project:

 

ART/DATA/HEALTH: data as creative material for health and wellbeing is an academic research project led by Dr Aristea Fotopoulou at the University of Brighton, in collaboration with the Wellsbourne Healthcare CIC, RISE, TogetherCo, Brighton Digital Festival, Brighton Fringe, Brighton & Hove Council (Public Health), & NHS CCG. It aims to engage local communities, artists, and researchers, to explore health and wellbeing issues through a combination of creativity & data science. ART/ DATA/HEALTH (AH/S004564/1 2019-2021, funded by the RCUK/UKRI Innovation Fellowship).
