Welcome to Joe Agate, a new PhD student in the Centre for Aquatic Environments
Please give a warm welcome to Joe Agate as he embarks on his Environment Agency funded PhD project ‘Development of novel methods for monitoring the evolution of coastal wetlands following disturbance’. Joe has only just started but has been out in the field already collecting data with his supervisors Dr Ray Ward, Professor Chris Joyce and Dr Niall Burnside. Joe completed his previous studies at Cardiff University and has been interested in coastal wetlands for several years. He’ll be working with geomorphology/sediments, ecology, remote sensing and machine learning.
