Welcome to Graihagh Guille, a new PhD student and member of the Centre for Aquatic Environments
We would like to give a warm welcome to a new member of the Centre for Aquatic Environments. Graihagh Guille today embarks on a PhD titled “Bioaccumulation and synergistic effects of chronic pesticide pollution on aquatic organisms – impact on the community structure”, with support from supervisors; Dr Sarah Purnell, Dr Corina Ciocan and Dr Nic Stewart from the School of Applied Sciences. Graihagh comes to us with some fantastic experience in zoology and conservation biology and the PhD will be investigating the impact of the bioaccumulation of a range of recognised high-risk pesticides in surface waters on aquatic organisms through controlled laboratory experiments and environmental assessment. Please do feel free to say hi and to introduce yourself to Graihagh this week.
