Centre member Dr. Corina Ciocan has started a four-year appointment to the Sussex Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority
As from 18th of May, Centre member Dr. Corina Ciocan has started a four-year appointment to the Sussex Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority, as a general member to the joint committee.
Corina has been recruited by the MMO (Marine Management Organisation) and alongside twenty other members, she will contribute her knowledge and experience to provide sustainable management of the inshore marine area of the IFCA district, such as: the achieving the conservation objectives of marine conservation zones and managing the sustainable exploitation of sea fisheries resources.
It is great for the Centre for Aquatic Environments to have a representative in the local IFCA council, especially given the strong collaborations and good relationship we developed with the authority in the recent years!
