Postgraduate study

We are proud of the supportive postgraduate community in our school and our university. Our students are studying a rich and diverse range of subjects, contributing solutions and making a difference to society and issues on a local and global scale.

Postgraduate study is an opportunity to build on your undergraduate degree and your career and become an expert in your discipline. Our MRes degrees are based on a significant research component supported by taught modules. They provide the perfect stepping stone between undergraduate and PhD level study if you are thinking about an academic career in an area of your undergraduate degree that really inspired you.

You can also meet our lecturers and researchers at one of our postgraduate open evenings and events. It’s a great way to explore your future study options.
