A SYMBOL MAKES USE OF A CHARACTER OR AN IMAGE TO REPRESENT SOMETHING ELSE. A METAPHOR ALLOWS A WRITER TO COMPARE SEEMINGLY OPPOSITE OR UNRELATED THINGS. THERE IS NO COMPARISON IN A SYMBOL, WHILE COMPARISON IS THE CENTRAL IDEA IN A METAPHOR.

EXPLORE THE JOURNEY OF DREAMS AND WHAT THEY SYMBOLISE; MANY ELEMENTS OF OUR DREAMS ARE SYMBOLS OF WHAT OUR SUBCONSCIOUS PICKS UP IN OUR LIVES. I PLAN TO COLLECT MY DREAMS AND USE THEM AS A BASIS FOR THE STORYLINE OF MY COMIC JOURNEY.

-Listen to lucid dreaming hypnosis while sleeping.

–Salvador Dali- nap trick; fall asleep holding a key, wake up and write down dreams.

-Watch films that have a surreal, dream like effect with notable symbolism and metaphors.
