Glen Murakami

I was interested in the character and story design that Murakami develops, as the characters were key to my comic. Murakami was involved in a movement called ‘americanime’ – non Japanese animations, influenced by Japanese anime. Murakami is well known for the comic series, ‘Teen Titans’. The use of very bright colours, clean and clear drawings, using exaggerated facial expressions was something important for me to do, as I wanted to keep the amount of text to a minimum.
