People in Spaces

Exhibition Statement

‘People in Spaces’ shows a collection of figurative paintings by Caitlin Knight. These depict people such as family and friends in household rooms.

Knight is influenced by the restrictions that came with lockdown and the isolation that has consequently followed throughout the last year. Expressing people with apathetic faces in spaces absent from description. Knight has considered the use of colour and the use of grids which have contributed to a combination of realism and an expressive colour pallet.
