In an exclusive opportunity for aspiring sports journalists, trainee reporters from the University of Brighton’s MA and BA Sports Journalism course were granted access to the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) Premier League darts event held in Brighton.
On Wednesday (March 5), second-year sports reporters were invited to an exclusive press conference with ex-World Champion Rob Cross at the Brighton Centre.
The next day, Will Simpson (Sports Journalism MA) and Kai Bailey ( Sport Journalism BA) were granted official press access to the event itself. They had the opportunity to conduct interviews with some of the world’s best players, including Luke Littler, capturing behind-the-scenes insights and engaging with the stars of the sport.

To practice press conference and live-reporting skills in front of the best players in the world is a unique opportunity and invaluable to our reporters, so we really appreciate the support from Dave Allen, Rob Cross and everyone else at the PDC.”
