IAP working together project

Inclusive Arts Practice MA students work with charity Grace Eyre on arts project

University of Brighton students worked with participants from the charity which supports people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health issues on the Working Together project, a response to the recent Brighton Centre for Contemporary Arts Lloyd Corporation exhibition.

For the project the group worked together over 5 weeks earlier this year to share ideas and make artwork inspired by the exhibition. The boxes were introduced in the 2nd session as a starting point because they can contain, store and transport objects and materials in a similar way to the shipping containers in the gallery (albeit on a much smaller scale). As the project progressed the boxes surface, form, contents, materiality and function have shifted and changed.
