Dr Lance Dann is presenting a documentary on BBC Radio 3 this coming Sunday on the immersive media and art.
The Senior Lecturer in Audio and Digital Media in the School of Media visits the famous Diorama, the precursor to the moving image and which offered its audience “a glimpse into other worlds… where volcanos would erupt on the hour, Roman ruins could be explored, mountain peaks ascended… not unlike a modern Las Vegas but in the 1820s”.
Dr Dann, an award-winning writer, drama producer and podcast expert, takes listeners on a “kaleidoscopic journey through other influential dioramas”.
The broadcast is at 18.45 on Sunday, 26 January, and for more information visit the BBC programmes page
