Staff and students to take part in British Council Going Global conference

Illustration course staff and students will be drawing, painting and collaging on a large scroll of white paper onto which you can also draw simultaneously via Skype on 23-24 May.

They are asking for your live drawing so they can project them onto the scroll of paper at the British Council and send you a live video of their superimposed drawings.

They can then add, converse and perform throughout the collaboration in any format you choose, from pencils and paints to collage and objects. All you need to do is mount your smartphone or tablet above your drawing surface so you are hands-free to ‘draw’ beneath it on camera.

Call the team on Skype (tele) consequences and you will see their combined image on the screen of your device, whilst you are able to contribute to it live.

When? Join them on 23 and 24 May from 10.45am – 6pm.

What is the theme?

The theme is ‘Global cities: connecting talent, driving change’ and the team will focus their attention on future cities and cityscapes – from megacities to virtual cities. All the collaborative (tele)consequences work and participants names will be presented during the conference and recorded as part of our ongoing experimentation.
