Brighton brand and students in t-shirt collaboration

Ethical Brighton brand Colour Is Sound has launched a range of t-shirts designed by students on the Graphic Design for Digital Media and Illustration for Screen Arts courses. Colour Is Sound makes t-shirts inspired by influential music, often with partners from the local community. Course leader Paul Burgess, who has a background in music related design, led the project, with students worked with a commercial brief to deliver designs that could be silk-screen printed onto ethical t-shirts and as wall-art.

Design briefs include art inspired by the New York punk scene 1973-77, David Bowie, Sly and The Family Stone and festivals such as Burning Man, Glastonbury and Sonar.
