We’re delighted in being able to congratulate Judith Ricketts on her excellent news of being a successful recipient of ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) via Co-Lab at the University of Sussex. Working as PI and creative artist in residence, Judith will be taking CMNH into the partnership to develop a digital interactive outcome delivered over mobile that engages with local historical archives and the built environment. Xr-H (working title) is a serious game project that’s about futuring the city’s past.

My practice is designed to agitate, question and to insert other critical narratives.
The project will address long standing issues related to lack of diversity, inclusion and visual representation in historical accounts, which extends the politics of built environment and limited access to archival material. This new placemaking research is designed to make stories of the past digitally accessible, discoverable, usable, and playful for wider audiences.
