Immersive Teaching & Learning

University of Brighton

School of Humanities and Social Sciences

The Humanities at Pavillion Parade, specifically the History of Art and Design Programme have shown an interest in the immersive technologies in terms of providing virtual tours of museums and galleries, but have not had a great deal of student demand for technology-based interventions. For three years they trialed a GPS based “treasure hunt” style immersive game making tool – Actionbound – that lead the students around the art landscape of Brighton, but the students gave poor feedback, so it was dropped.
