Further details (see also the facebook event page):

We have the space from 6-9pm and for the first hour and a half the floor is ours with a welcoming space to share work in progress with the group. Anything goes – a short reading, performance, ponder, poem, joke or anything else. The rougher the better! There will be drinks vouchers and snacks provided for all workshop participants.

For the second hour and a half we’ve invited our friends at QM Records to curate some live music and spoken word. Entertaining us between 7:30 and 9pm will be:

Tommy Sissons, a young spoken word poet based between London and Brighton. He is the 2014 Slambassadors national slam champion, a finalist in the 2014 Roundhouse Poetry Slam, a Words First poet and a two-time regional Hammer and Tongue slam champion, coming 5th in the National Finals of 2013 and 2014.

KaT’s Head, bringing half rapped, half conversed stories infused with freestyle’s, often crafted though audience’s suggestions. KaT’s warm and engaging voice is often given company by her guitar and can warm even the most mouthiest of heckler.

Ciara and the Sherry Kid, jazzy bluesy soulful music brought to you by Ciara Gayer and Francisco Gassin. Based in Brighton and playing regularly around the area.
