BBC Micro: bit

This blog is designed to inform and inspire teachers to use the BBC Micro:bit within schools.  There is a focus on BBC Micro:bit working together with Scratch as an educational tool to promote computational thinking in primary school children.

To get started you’ll need:

  •  BBC Micro:bit (with USB connector)
  •  Bluetooth dongle to connect your BBC Micro:bit to Scratch.  (Shown below is a BLED112 Bluetooth USB Smart Dongle)
  • S2Bot 4 Scratch downloaded via chrome apps to connect Scratch to your BBC Micro:bit
