Student Advice Service – Money Matters

News from the Student Advice Service at the University of Brighton

Grant available for arts and media students who are care experienced

Are you a final year student on an Arts, Media or Product Design (please note this list is not prescriptive) course and you need some additional money?

Have you spent any time in the care of a local authority or you are care experienced?

If yes, you could be eligible to apply for a non-repayable award of £350 from The Pyrus Trust. These awards are to help support you during your studies and the focus is students undertaking arts and media related courses.

Applications are open until Friday 25th January 2019 and you will be notified of the outcome in March 2019.

Please have a look at the Brighton Pyrus Trust Bursary page for further information and to access the simple application pack. You will also find a list of eligible courses and general information about the organisation and this fantastic financial incentive.

It is also worth noting that the university has a suite of additional funds which are available to students in financial need. The main fund is called the Student Support Fund. These funds are open throughout the academic year, so please contact the Student Advice Service for more information or download a form from the web.
