University of Brighton bursary

Most of those eligible to receive the bursary will have received their first instalment already and for those who started a course in February 18, you should be receiving it very shortly.

However, we are aware that there are some new 1st year students out there whom we believe to be eligible for the bursary who are not receiving it. This could be for a number of different reasons, the most common one being that their parents or partner have not given their consent to share financial information with the university. This is very easily rectified, often just with a short phone call to Student Finance England.

The deadline to be considered for the bursary is 8th June 2018.  If you are in receipt of a full Maintenance Loan from Student Finance England due to having a low household income below £25,000, you could be entitled to this.

If you think you might be entitled to an award, after checking the criteria on our website, please contact the Bursaries team direct bursaries@brighton.ac.uk

Please note this applies to full and part time students
