Bus fare increases announced for Brighton and Hove Buses

Students are amongst those affected by the fare increases announced by Brighton and Hove Bus company today.

In short, the 1day city’SAVER’ will increase from £3 to £3.20 and the 1day network’SAVER’ will rise from £3.30 to £3.50 – these are the cheapest m tickets or key card tickets which you can purchase in advance. There are also new m tickets for students travelling over 2 or 3 consecutive days which can be purchased for £6.15/£6.55 (2 days) or £9.20/£9.80 (3 days).

A weekly advance student m ticket/online key card ticket will rise to £13.50/£14.50.

You can also buy discounted tickets at One Stop Travel but if you ‘pay as you go’ using cash on the bus you will pay more.

The main differences between the city and network tickets are the distance they cover and the geographical reach, so make sure you pick the best option for you. You can find out more by accessing the student bus info portal dear bus

All fare increases are effective from Tuesday 16th January.
