Do you need to contact Student Finance? Just Ask Us


 

 

 

 

If you need to speak to your funding to ask them a question or provide them with some additional information, you may find this useful:

Student Finance England – 0300 100 0607
Phone lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and on the weekend 9am to 4pm

It is usually quicker to get through first thing in the morning and in the evenings, but you can wait 30 minutes to get through. Make sure you have customer reference number to hand and you know your secret answer. they usually ask for letters from your secret answer using the phonetic alphabet eg “M as in Mike”. For those of you unfamiliar with the phonetic alphabet, here it is:


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Student Finance Wales – 0300 200 4050

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm but they close at the weekends

Student Awards Agency Scotland – 0300 555 0505

Phone lines are open Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (but they remain open until 6pm until the end of October). They are closed at the weekends.

Student Finance Northern Ireland – 0300 100 0077

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm and Saturday 9.00am to 4.00pm. They are closed on Sundays.

If you need to contact any of these agencies but you cannot afford to pay for the call or you are confused by what you need to speak to them about, let the Student Advice Service help.

You can use the student access phone in Student Services free of charge during standard office opening times, or you can call with an Adviser present during any Student Advice drop in, or by appointment (at some campuses only). We can also have a look at your assessment online together if you know your log in details.
