May the 4th be with you……at the polls today

Have you registered to vote in the local elections today?

Polls opened early this morning and remain open until 10pm tonight giving voters plenty of opportunity to cast their vote.

You should have received a polling card  and if you’re unsure of the location of your polling station, check the address on the front of the card as it may not necessarily be the closest polling station to where you live! You don’t need to take the polling card with you, but it’s easier if you do.

There may be candidates or party representatives at the polling stations today, but you don’t need to disclose how you are voting as this is confidential. Often they just want to know who has turned up to vote on the day, especially if they have been canvassing in the local area.
