Do you know how to be safe online? Do you know someone who has been scammed, been phished or been the victim of fraud?

Here are some top tips on how to avoid being a victim:

  • Learn to recognise and ignore Phishing emails and scam postal invitations
  • Never reveal personal or security information over the telephone, by email, in text messages, or in person
  • Don’t give information to cold callers (e.g. charities) at your doorstep
  • Be careful where you enter your card details

Want to know more? Come along to the Santander branch in Cockcroft this Thursday, 16th March to find out more and get lots of helpful advice.

A representative from Student Advice Service will also be on hand with any questions you might have about scams which particulary target students.

See you there!
