Academic Services Student Ambassadors

The Student Recruitment and Outreach team are always looking for new students to support the delivery of activities including Open Days, Higher Education fairs and Widening Participation work with local schools, colleges and communities. This is a great opportunity for flexible, paid work alongside your degree and a chance to gain new skills. If you’re interested in becoming involved, please contact studentambassadors@brighton.ac.uk for an application form. Applications are accepted year round and recruitment to these posts usually happens once in the Autumn term (October) and once in the Spring term (February).

University of Brighton: Student Helper (Information Services – Eastbourne)
Salary – £7.75

Are you patient, reliable and looking for work to fit in with your studies? Queenwood Library has vacancies for Student Helpers. They are looking for people who are available to work after Easter and in the next academic year (2015/16). You must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts in the afternoons, evenings and weekends. The shifts will be based in the Queenwood Library and Computer Pool Room on the Eastbourne site.

University of Brighton: Student Services Student Ambassador 2015/2016
Salary – £9.61 p/hr
Location: All campuses

Student Services is looking for a number of dynamic students who have ‘can-do’ attitude who are excellent team players, to assist with:
• Marketing, promotion and student engagement on campus.
• Assist at enquiry/reception desks – answering enquiries from students, booking appointments and signposting .
• International Orientation Programme – greeting students, undertaking student tours, supporting events and activities (working for the International Project Coordinator)
• Some successful applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with disabled students or have their own experience of accessing support for a disability will also be considered for additional work as Ambassadors for the Disability and Dyslexia Team (DDT) – providing tours and peer advice for students with disabilities.
The role presents an opportunity for students with an interest in supporting students, marketing / gaining feedback for a service and providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
