Why?

Social Psychology Trading Cards are intended to be a fun and accessible way of finding out a bit more about groundbreaking, prominent, important, important-but-ignored and/or inspirational social psychologists. We don’t have to like them, or agree with them.

There’s a (slightly) more serious intention too. Yes, the history of social psychology is dominated by white American men.  However, the aim of this project is to build a more representative pack of trading cards – more women, more nationalities, ethnicities. There might still be disproportionately more white American men, and many of those might be dead already, but its a start.
