Congratulations!

Several of our students have successfully completed the PG Cert in Simulation in Clinical practice -Well Done to our first official cohort! Some are going onto complete other modules as part of the MSc in Clinical Education.

The feedback on the course from both students and the external examiner alike  was very good.

Funding for simulation modules 2017

Yet again HEE (KSS) has agreed to support student bursaries for the two simulation modules in the PG Certificate at BSMS. In addition to bursaries we will be able to appoint another Teaching Fellow in Simulation in the department of medical education from September 2017 onwards. This post will support both the simulation teaching programmes and the Physician Associate studies whilst focussing upon a project studying the provision of ‘in situ’ simulation across the KSS region.

Applications are welcomed and interviews will start on May 16th.

Principles and Practice of Simulation; Student Feedback: November ’16

The Principles and Practice of Simulation module was successfully delivered again from 28th November – 2nd December 2016.

Quantitative and qualitative feedback from the students was extremely positive, matching the overwhelmingly positive feedback from previous iterations of the module in 2014 and 2015. A figure showing the responses (scored on a Likert scale) is shown below, along with some quotes from some of the students.
