As part of the Design and the Environment module, second year International Hospitality Management students were given the opportunity to visit The Ivy in the Lanes, Brighton.
The latest addition to The Ivy Collection opened in April 2018 and is its first coastal site. The restaurant is located in the grade II listed old post office, situated within the historic lanes, and aims to attract both locals and visitors alike.
The students studied the decadent interior design of the building – a far cry from its post office days. The walls are adorned with colourful vintage prints and locally referenced artwork inspired by the heritage of The Royal Pavilion and the origin of Brighton as a fishing village.
The students were also even given a chance to admire the spectacular ladies toilets!
