The workshop was delivered by Matt Kuchta and Amber Rose, who are both marketing officers for VisitEastbourne. VisitEastbourne is a one-stop shop for visitors offering a guide to what’s on as well as information on where to stay.
The students were offered an insight into how social media is used to attract tourists and the importance of film and television tourism for boosting Eastbourne’s visitor economy.They also learned about Eastbourne’s latest promotional campaigns.
Tourism student Jenny said: “The workshop today was fantastic. It was a great opportunity to get inside knowledge of the industry and to ask questions about the challenges of marketing as well as the career perspectives.”
