Digital marketing expert Kaite Waite visited the school to deliver a workshop for final year Retail Marketing and Retail Management BA(Hons) students.
During Kate’s workshop, on customer generated reviews, she shared her significant experience on subjects such as search engine optimisation, the Panda Algorithm, Goldstar Ratings, consumer engagement and of course user reviews.
She informed students that only 5% of customers are likely to write an online product or service review so maximising these is critical to any online trading retailer. Interestingly, if a retailer increases their reviews from 1 to 15 this could lead to an increases in sales of over 50%.
Some of the students, who are currently working with external clients in a consultancy capacity, found this information invaluable in developing their clients digital marketing strategy.
