Shot Reverse Shot
A shot reverse shot is one of the most simple yet effective camera techniques there are in film production, the definition for this word means there is a shot from behind a character looking at a another character in front who will most likely be speaking, and then the reverse as the other character is speaking and then the camera will cut between each other when needed.

Pan/Track/Zoom
The pan, track and zoom is also one of the most used camera tricks in film production, “Panning” which is also the proper term for “Pan” means the camera movement from side to side or up and down or even diagonally if needed, this is usually used to track a subject from one place to another.

“Tracking” is considered an advanced camera movement where the camera is on a camera rig of some sort to keep it stabilised so there is no shake, as its put on a camera rig it will then be moved sideways so it will be parallel to the subject being filmed.

The “Zoom” effect is mainly known for zooming in and out of a subject being filmed, with this many movies have tried to be creative with this effect such as moving back whilst zooming or vice-versa or even panning and then zooming into a subject, it all depends on what the overall effect needs to be and what feeling the director wants to convey to the audience.
