This attempt at inserting blue fabric into paper was more successful I think as the fabric was more embed within the paper compared to the previous time where it was more of a separate entity. I like the print left on the paper here from the towel placed on top.

This outcome is subtle and I like the way the colours have bleed. The consistency is also thinner here making it much more paper like.

I really like the result of this outcome but only on one side. The side in which you can see all of the fabric doesn’t look like paper and the fabric is too prominent however the other side I feel is interesting. If I were to re-do this style I’d try to add paper either side to hide more of the fabric. 

This experiment I feel is one of my least favourites. The outcome was too thick and the colour is not appealing. I did not take into account the different colours present or consider that they could run. From this I have learnt to consider the amount of colours present and also to think about the length of time I blend the initial materials for.

For this outcome I blended egg boxes with fabric however the result was very thick therefore I needed to add more water. I like the combination and the subtle colour contrast.  

Fourth attempt –

Using more paper and blending in the egg box for only 3 seconds. This one is slightly thicker than I wanted it to be however I love the contrast in colours!

First attempt –

Third attempt – Using a lot more water here creating a thinner consistency. I really like the colour of this piece and the texture from the thicker bits of the egg box. Use photographs to create paper that folds?

Use the idea of a fold (as if it was a memory)

Make paper that is thick enough to fold or use a stencil/ mould to create shapes?
