Module lead and team development

Discussions amongst the course module leads and team members included the following:

Team membership:

  1. Need for parity n the level of engagement fro each module team member
  2. Need to be mindful of workload commitments for each team member
  3. Avoid dual module leads for 1 module
  4. Year 1 has 4 shared modules, Year 2 has 2 shared modules and 3 field specific modules and Year 3 also has 2 shared modules and 3 field specific modules

Timetabling:

  1. Consider fewer sessions but increased length
  2. Practice learning module content is immense, more sessions needing longer to teach
  3. Need to identify a MH First Aid trainer- Una Hobson SPT has contact details for Lawrence Wintergold
  4. Use of demonstrator to help with practice learning module sessions

Consider development of a working group to review attendance and student engagement.
