Performer & Theatre-maker

“There’s a performance of knockout modesty from Nathalie Carrington, succulent and witty.  She’s a cabaret artist as well as an actor, and someone should cast her quickly as a star.” –  Susannah Clapp, The Guardian

I trained as an actor at LAMDA and went on to work professionally in regional, national and international productions – providing valuable insight into the mechanics of large scale theatre productions and the cultural arts landscape as a whole.  As a theatre maker and producer, I have been able to develop productions from concepts to performance balancing artistic and commercial goals in tandem. In 2014, I bought together a commonwealth of writers, musicians and performing artists to devise an experimental song led adaptation of a Tennesse Willams’ play. My role spanned every aspect of the production. As producer, I fundraised the entire production budget including establishing and overseeing relationships with private benefactors and co-producing partners as well creating the conditions for collaborating artists to explore ideas, expand their craft and co-create theatre of the highest standard. As performing artist, I was a core member of the ensemble, devising, rehearsing and performing the production. The Liberation of Colette Simple ran for 3 weeks, co-produced by Jacksons Lane Theatre in London and extended its run with an international tour to the US for the Tennessee Williams Festival in Provincetown.

“A plucky experiment in theatrical form.” – Lyn Gardener ,  The Guardian
