I love the different colours McLachlan uses in his work and the tonal story they go through, making incredibly striking pieces that are very engaging. I love the book cutout piece as I think that is just a really clever idea and love that it’s a piece made out of paper using a book that’s still intact and includes an image of a man reading a book cut-out – it’s completely ingenious.
